The laborious task of bringing the 450X to a screeching halt is handled by a pair of hydraulic twin piston calipers on the front and a single twin piston caliper on the rear. A trick looking ventilated wave rotor helps keep the rear brakes cool in combination with standard ventilated rotors on the front.

All of the plastic body parts are easily removable on every YFZ model. However, on the Bill Ballance edition YFZ450X, removing the plastic is even easier as“zeus clips“ totally eliminate the need to dig for a screwdriver! Another cool feature for the do-it-yourself crowd is that the battery doesn’t need to be disconnected to remove the rear fenders to do maintenance.
